For the inauguration of the Riyadh Metro, a series of original vector illustrations was created to accompany the official communication and visual identity of the project.
Each illustration represents one of the six metro lines, identified by its dedicated color — yellow, orange, blue, red, green and purple. The compositions connect the metro network to Riyadh’s cultural and urban landscape, incorporating elements such as iconic skyscrapers, historical landmarks, natural scenery and scenes of everyday life.
Illustration
A series of custom vector illustrations was developed to represent the different metro lines and their relationship with the city.
The graphic compositions combine architectural landmarks, urban elements and human activity into a unified visual landscape. Each line is distinguished by its color, creating a clear and intuitive way to identify the network.
The illustrations function both as informational graphics and symbolic representations of Riyadh, highlighting how the metro connects different parts of the city.
Visual Language
The visual language is based on a minimal and geometric illustration style, built with precise linear outlines and controlled color accents.
This approach ensures clarity and readability while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic. The restrained color palette allows each metro line to remain identifiable while preserving the coherence of the overall visual system.
The compositions are designed as modular graphic environments, capable of being used across large-scale displays, digital media and printed communication.

The illustrations were designed to support a wide range of communication materials related to the metro inauguration, including:
